Last Monday’s hot takes

March 30, 2026

“Last Monday’s hot takes” runs the last Monday of the month.

Discussions about the Iran war all say that Trump bombed Iran.

That’s nonsense. U.S. citizens and others bombed strangers halfway
around the world for Trump and the politicians in Congress who
support him. The oath sworn by U.S. military recruits starts with “I
do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the
Constitution of the United States . . . .”

There seems to have been no recognizable emergency in Venezuela or Iran that would’ve justified the Authorization for Use of Military Force, so perhaps the people involved should be court martialed/fired. I think two things are called for: the impeachment of Donald John Trump and the dismissal/arrest/stoning of his toadies.

There should be an electronic Constitutional Convention that includes all citizens. That’s all for now. I’m open for suggestions.
