The Konkow Valley Band of Maidu Indians will share Traditional Ecological Knowledge with 90 participants March 20-22 on ancestral lands in Concow. The event is sponsored by the Konkow Valley Band, California Open Lands and Camp Fire Restoration Project. Maidu leaders will teach cultural fire techniques that include native species revegetation and invasive species removal. These practices represent ancient knowledge passed down for generations.
