Sewer rates are once again on the Chico City Council agenda for the upcoming May 5 meeting.
Vice Mayor Dale Bennett requested reconsideration of the large five-year sewer rate increase approved March 17. The increase was approved by a Council majority, including Bennett, after a Public Works official presented the challenges caused by long-term underfinancing.
The Council opens its public meeting at 6 p.m. at the Chico Municipal Center Council Chamber, 421 Main St. A closed session will be held at 4:30 p.m.
