PG&E offers help to “vulnerable” customers

PG&E offers extra support for people who report conditions that make them especially vulnerable during power outages or shutoffs.

Customers enrolled in PG&E’s Self-Identified Vulnerable Program receive additional notice before power is turned off due to nonpayment, and/or increased support during public safety power shutoffs, major emergencies and multi-day outages.

Applications and annual renewals are completed on a PG&E  online account. This program is available to customers who do not qualify for the utility’s  Medical Baseline Program.
