Nor Cal Carpenters Union held a press conference today calling on the Chico Unified School District (CUSD) to re-evaluate and strengthen its contractor prequalification and selection process, citing the use of contractors with documented histories of safety violations, wage theft and irresponsible business practices.
Robert Blunt, a union field representative, said the union plans to give a presentation at the Chico Unified School District board meeting tonight (May 20).
The CUSD board meeting will be held at 6 p.m. in the Marigold School Multi-Purpose Room at 2446 Marigold Ave.
