Michele Klassy watched from her house — near Hooker Oak Elementary School’s soccer field — as the Chico branch of the Butte County Library was built.
“I’ve watched people come and go over the years. And now all of a sudden you have this kind of a tragedy that’s so unexpected. I’m very sad,” Klassy told ChicoSol from her front porch the morning of June 23.
