How to help library shooting victims

North Valley Community Foundation has opened two funds in response to the June 22 Chico library killings. A memorial fund for Robert Johnson, 74, of Orland, will benefit the Chico library at the family’s request. A memorial fund for Jacob “Cody” Hull, 46, of Chico, will benefit his family, including his niece, who was injured during the shooting.

People can also donate to the GoFundMe page opened by Kaygan Britt, mother of the injured child.

Two businesses in Chico will have benefit fundraisers early this week:

  • June 29-30 at Tbar at either Chico location – 250 Vallombrosa Ave, Suite 200, or 555 Flying V St.;
  • July 1 at The ARC of Butte County thrift store, 2030 Park Ave., Chico.
