City Council to discuss homelessness policy, groundwater

At its Oct. 6 meeting, the Chico City Council will consider an ordinance that would modify city regulations in place relating to camping and fall under what are termed “public nuisances.” The discussions anticipate the upcoming expiration of the Warren v. Chico Settlement that presented obstacles to anti-camping enforcement, as well as new case law.

The Council will also hear a presentation from Vina Groundwater Sustainability Agency (GSA). Vina GSA will present on its Groundwater Sustainability Plan.

The Council meets at 6 p.m. at City Council Chambers at 421 Main St.
