Conservative Kasey Reynolds, running for Chico City Council and co-owner of a legendary downtown ice cream shop, provided free ice cream to Chico State students on Tuesday across the walkway from the campus polling place at the Bell Memorial Union.

By state law, election-day campaigning — “electioneering” — can be conducted if it’s 100 feet or more from a polling-place entrance.
About six students protested the last-minute campaigning with signs that noted that Reynolds was endorsed by the police union and contending that she doesn’t support “queer people,” “people of color,” “homeless people.” Reynolds and fellow conservative Matt Gallaway, also a Council candidate, were both present.

This was one of the worst elections I can remember, dirty tactics, misinformation, illegally posted signs. From both sides.
Ann Schwab, who works at the college, has used her position to campaign to students, serving hamburgers on campus during one campaign.
I consider you guys a news source but your bias is very obvious. My kid was a student of yours Dave, it didn’t take him two minutes to figure you out. Of course you gave him an A. Thanks for teaching him how to get good grades in college!
Nonsense. Ann Schwab *never* served “hamburgers” or *anything else* on an Election Day, which is an illegal act. You just claimed something that is flat out false.
In fact, I’ve never seen *any candidate* giving away *anything* on Election Day in my 25 years here – UNTIL this Election Day, by only one candidate.
You should correct your comment, lest bias be obvious.
